In the past several
months, CTRP, in cooperation with DMHAS and DCF, has offered dozens of training
events to behavioral health providers from across the state. The training has included, but not been limited to, guidelines for safe and
effective responding to acute post-traumatic stress and grief, ongoing services
for affected children, adults, and families, stress management for
responders/recovery workers and culturally competent crisis services.
Selected
training events offered by the CTRP are now available on-line, through
web-streaming technology, so that individuals who were not able to attend
previously offered training events can now view them on the web.
The opportunity to view
previously offered training is particularly important for behavioral health
providers who are interested in fulfilling the requirements for participation on a Regional Crisis
Response Team. The required
training includes CTRP Phase I Training, Team Formation Training and at least
one session of the CTRP Phase II Specialty Trainings.
