In the past several months, CTRP, in cooperation with DMHAS and DCF, has offered dozens of training events to behavioral health providers from across the state.  The training has included, but not been limited to, guidelines for safe and effective responding to acute post-traumatic stress and grief, ongoing services for affected children, adults, and families, stress management for responders/recovery workers and culturally competent crisis services.

Selected training events offered by the CTRP are now available on-line, through web-streaming technology, so that individuals who were not able to attend previously offered training events can now view them on the web.

The opportunity to view previously offered training is particularly important for behavioral health providers who are interested in fulfilling the requirements for participation on a Regional Crisis Response Team.  The required training includes CTRP Phase I Training, Team Formation Training and at least one session of the CTRP Phase II Specialty Trainings.

Wondering what to do next?  Find the option below that best describes your needs:

  • If you have viewed the training, and just need to register, click here.

  • If you are interested in viewing the trainings on-line in order to complete the stipulated requirements for crisis response team membership, you must register after viewing each of the on-line training modules.  Click here to view and register.

  • If you are interested in viewing the trainings on-line for your own educational purposes but do not intend to participate on a crisis response team,  click here to view.

  • If you are interested in learning more about involvement in the statewide regional response system established by the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF), in cooperation with the CTRP, please visit the CTRP web pages entitled How to Get Involved”.
